Rowan Gavan is a Southland bred boat builder with hands-on experience in aluminum boat construction and marine metal fabrication. Every vessel that leaves the workshop is built to handle New Zealand's toughest waterways.

Rowan's core work is marine repairs, maintenance and fabrication across Southland, from harbour-side welding on commercial vessels in Invercargill to structural work on fishing boats in Bluff and Riverton. His handbuilt aluminum boat, The Evolution, is his signature build on top of that.

What We Do

SERVICES

Marine repairs and fabrication are the core of the business. Whether it's a hull repair at the harbour or a full custom build from scratch, Rowan handles it directly.

Hull repairs, structural repairs, maintenance and refits on aluminum vessels. Work carried out on the hard or at moorings across Southland.

Custom aluminum and galvanised steel trailers built to match your boat. Repairs, modifications and certification work also available.

Full custom boat builds from design through to launch. Dinghies, runabouts, commercial and work vessels built to your spec and New Zealand conditions.

Stainless and aluminum welding for marine and fabrication applications. Structural welds, repairs and custom metalwork carried out on-site or at the workshop.
